38 Schools took part in the annual Shire Trophy, for the third year running the competition has been over subscribed. A glorious summers day...maybe too hot for some of the players with no wind, unusual for the Shire.
Some low scores were expected as the conditions were ideal
The competition was a 2 tee start. 16-19 year olds off the first tee an intimidating par 3 island hole. Some of the past players are now getting used to the first hole with more balls finding the green than in past years.
The girls and under 15s started on the 10th tee a par 4 with water on both sides of the green.
Thanks to our sponsors for prizes
